What is NATTOFX?

NATTOFX contains the highest quality Nattokinase (NSK-SD), in its purest, most potent form; NATTOFX contains 1,000 FU (fibrin units) per capsule.

What is Nattokinase?

Nattokinase, an enzyme derived from fermented soybeans, has been clinically shown in numerous studies to support normal circulation and blood pressure levels, reduce excess levels of fibrin which may contribute to abnormal blood clotting, and to enhance the production of plasmin (the body’s natural clot-dissolving agent).

Nattokinase is considered to have many benefits including convenience of oral administration, confirmed efficacy, and prolonged effectiveness. It is a naturally occurring food-based enzyme that demonstrates stability in the gastrointestinal tract as well as within a wide range of pH and temperature variances.

Animal & Human Studies

Nattokinase has been the subject of more than 17 studies. These include:

1. Enhancement of the fibrinolytic activity in plasma by oral administration of Nattokinase (Sumi H. et. al, Acta Haematol 1990; 84(3):139-43. In this study, blood clots were induced in male dogs. The dogs were then administered either four capsules of Nattokinase (250 mg per capsule) or four placebo capsules. Angiograms revealed that the dogs who received Nattokinase regained normal blood circulation (free of clotting) within five hours of treatment. Blood clots in the dogs who received the placebo showed no sign of dissolving in the 18 hours after treatment. The researchers concluded that the results obtained suggest that Nattokinase represents a possible compound for use not only in the treatment of embolism but also in the prevention of the disease, since Nattokinase has a proven safety record and can be massproduced.

2. Effect of Natto Diet on Blood Pressure, (Maruyama M, Sumi H., JTTAS, 1995). This study included trials on both human and animal subjects.

In the human study, volunteers with high blood pressure were administered a Natto extract orally for 4 consecutive days. In 4 out of 5 volunteers, the systolic blood pressure decreased on average by 10.9%, while the diastolic blood pressure decreased by 9.7%.

In the animal study, a single intraperitoneal administration of 400-450 grams of test Natto extract was injected into male Wister rats. A 12.7% drop in SBP was noted within two hours of the injection.
