How Does SerraPain™ Work?
As a proteolytic enzyme, SerraPain™ is naturally designed to help break down proteins in the body. In much the same way it breaks down the silkworm’s cocoon, SerraPain’s enzymatic action dissolves the protein debris, from toxins and inflammation resulting from injury or illness. If left unchecked, this irritating protein debris can cause much of the internal inflammation in our bodies, the kind that can turn into chronic conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, stiff joints, swelling and aching muscles. But because the proteolytic action of SerraPain™ ONLY affects non-living tissues (protein debris), you don’t have to worry about healthy tissues being adversely affected.
Additionally, SerraPain™ naturally blocks the release of a pain-creating substance called bradykin, which is normally released by injured tissues and leads to inflammation and swelling. However, unlike NSAIDs or Cox-2 inhibitors, SerraPain™ is a natural enzyme with NO effect on the Cox enzymes, so there’s no chance of stomach or kidney reactions, or increased risk of heart attack and stroke!
